When I test this on my macbook screen in FF, the transcripts do initially appear, overlapping the video a bit. When I play the video, they disappear. On a bigger screen, the same thing happens, but playing the video simply moves the transcript window over so that it's no longer overlapping the video.

This seems like some kind of CSS positioning problem on the smaller screens. Perhaps the transcripts are still there, but just accidentally moved somewhere offscreen...

It does seem to me that the transcript window is still present, just not visible: it is actually still functional.

    After the transcripts have disappeared,
    1) tab through the controls to where they would have been (i.e. three tabs past the fullscreen button)
    2) arrow down as if you were selecting a later transcript phrase
    3) press enter

The video will navigate to the timecode appropriate for the transcript phrase you selected.
