Description
When the user tabs to the video, Jaws does not automatically switch into application mode. This means that not all keystrokes are directed to the player, but some are intercepted by Jaws (e.g. the up/down arrows on the scrub bar, the volume slider, the captions and transcripts menu).
The ARIA 'application' role is supposed to automatically trigger this change; we're using it, but it's not happening. It's possible we're not putting the role on the right element, i.e. the element that's getting focus?

2012-08-21T13:12:28.114-0400 The same issue could be seen on the http://fluidproject.org/releases/1.4/demos/uploader/demo.html page with JAWS
The form has role="application" which is ignored by JAWS.
Once you select multiple files you are not able to use arrow keys to select a file you want to remove. JAWS overwrites key actions. Once you close JAWS it starts to work as expected.Another example is to set role="application" for the container in videoPlayer which has a mute button and a volume slider. Theoretically you suppose to control sound by pressing UP/DOWN keys once the container is focused but it does not work with JAWS.
NVDA works fine.
