Description

At the moment, the Fluid Portal Layout Manager doesn't exactly roll off the tongue, and conflicts with the concept of a layout manager within uPortal.

We also want to brand the Fluid release bundle with its own name to disambiguate it from other Fluid-named products such as the Mac OS X application of the same name.

    Regarding the Portlet Layout Manager:
There was much discussion on the list, and I tried to call for a vote. I posted the following summary:

There seems to me to be two halves to the issue:
    1) what it is that is being manipulated, and
    2) what we call the manipulation.

    Nominations for the first half:

    Cellular
    Content
    Module
    Portlet
    Section

    Nominations for the second half:

    Reorderer
    Organizer
    Layout Tool
    Manager
    Layout Manager
    Shuffler

There was one vote for "Portlet Reorderer" and one for "Module Layout Tool." That's all.

The naming suggestions for the release bundle are documented on the wiki: http://wiki.fluidproject.org/display/fluid/Naming+the+Fluid+Software+Package

It was close but Fluid Infusion was selected as the name of the release bundle.

The new name for the portlet reorderer/portlet layout manager is Layout Customizer.

The names have been selected and announced, and wiki, jira and code changes have been made.
