Description

In the Layout Reorderer Demo, when dragging and dropping a portlet, it's possible to get both a valid drop marker in one column, and a "can't place this portlet..." warning over the next column.

User testing should be performed to determine if this is a clear or confusing interaction.

Currently when something is dragged over a locked element and dropped, it will go to the closest valid drop point. That is likely what is being displayed in the screenshot.

To make the interaction clearer to the user, the proposed solution is to remove the warning message and display the nearest drop marker if the user is hovering over a locked module during a drag and drop action.

However, by removing the warning message, we are removing the demonstration of a Layout Reorderer feature. Thoughts?

More user testing is required to determine if this interaction is confusing or not. Changing the issue to reflect this.
