2008-09-22T17:55:16.000-0400 I can't reproduce this bug in either FF3/Mac, IE7/XP or IE6/XP
Can you give more info about how to reproduce?

2008-09-24T12:47:38.000-0400 In Opera, the portlet that is 'being moved' gets a blur after the move attempt (whether the move was successful or not). Because of this, the ctrl-key up, which should cause the warning to disappear, is not received.
So why is the blur happening?
(this causes other problems with any flavour of Reorderer: as soon as you move anything, focus is lost, so you can't continue to move it, you can't arrow to another portlet, etc.) -
